South MPS Symposium 2025 gathers experts and families in Porto Alegre

from 28 to 30 November 2025, Porto Alegre will be the scene of the South MPS Symposium, a meeting that promises to unite science, health and welcome around the rare diseases of the Mucopolysacharides (MPs).

The program highlights the participation of Dr. Hernan Amartino, international reference of Argentina, as well as doctors, researchers and representatives of partner institutions.

The event starts on the night of November 28, with a welcome opening and dinner table. On the 29th, the agenda includes lectures on quality of life, genetic risks, ongoing research and practical workshops on topics such as pain, exercise and carpal tunnel syndrome. At night there will be the traditional fraternization dinner.

closure on November 30 will be marked by a mobilization act at Farroupilha Park, after breakfast and participants check-out.

The South MPS Symposium is established as an essential space for exchange of experiences, learning and engagement, bringing together health professionals, families and institutions for the cause of MPs.
